High Piled Storage Permit

This service is intended for both a contractor & business owner.

A business owner will utilize this service if they already have storage racks installed in their warehouse but have never obtained permits and the fire department is requesting them to obtain permits.

A contractor will utilize this service to obtain a fire permit for a new storage rack project.

The High Piled Storage Permit Services includes the following:

• Conduct a site visit to gather the information needed to prepare the High Piled Storage plans and complete the High Piled Storage Analysis.

• Prepare all drawings for submittal (Project Information/Site Plan, Warehouse Floor Plan, Storage Rack Elevation, Fire Code Refence Sheet)

• Prepare all applications require for submittal and submit the project to the proper Fire jurisdiction.

• Address any comments the fire department might have in order to approve the project.

• Once the plans have been approved the next step is to scheduled inspections. At this point I will coordinate with the customer and/or contractor to schedule the final fire department inspection with the fire inspector.

• During this entire process permit management is taking place.

Procedure:

• Site Visit Consultation

  Compile information needed to complete the High Piled Storage plans.

• High Piled Storage Analysis

  A complete analyses of the Sprinkler System, Commodity Classification, Storage Height.

• Project Submittal & Review

  All plans, applications, calculations have been prepared for submittal to review by local fire jurisdictions. The plans will then go through a review process for local and state compliance by the local fire department.

• Project Inspection

  Upon receiving plan approval, the customer will need to prepare for a final fire department inspection conducted by the Fire inspector. Once completed the fire inspector will sign off on the storage rack project and high piled storage.
